Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Germany will provide Uzbekistan with €71 million under bilateral development cooperation agreements.
The funding commitment was reached following intergovernmental negotiations held on 7 October 2026.
The two sides agreed to continue joint projects in several areas, including sustainable economic development, social protection, strengthening the rule of law, climate policy and energy.
The agreements mark a new stage in cooperation between the two countries, which has continued for more than 30 years.
Germany regards Uzbekistan as an important partner in international development cooperation.
The funds will support joint initiatives in the agreed priority areas.
The talks reaffirmed Berlin and Tashkent’s intention to continue working together on economic and social development, as well as climate and energy issues.
