Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Ferghana Region plans to establish production of specialized precast reinforced concrete products using local raw materials and South Korean technologies, the administration of Ferghana Region said.

A delegation led by Ferghana Region Governor Khayrullo Bozorov visited SEONGEUN SPECIAL CONCRETE CO., LTD in Nonsan, Chungcheongnam-do Province, Republic of Korea.

Production for engineering infrastructure

The company was established in 2013 and specializes in producing specialized precast reinforced concrete structures for urban and rural infrastructure, including underground utility networks. The company currently operates three plants.

Its production facilities manufacture reinforced concrete pipes for sewage, stormwater drainage and irrigation, manhole blocks, open concrete drainage channels and other specialized products.

The products are supplied to public and private customers and comply with the requirements of the Republic of Korea’s KS national standard, as well as K-mark quality certification.

Company head Park Kye-young presented the delegation with the production processes, technical specifications of the products, quality control system and modern technologies used.

Korean technologies in Ferghana Region

Khayrullo Bozorov familiarized himself with the production processes and finished products, paying particular attention to the experience of using durable reinforced concrete structures in developing engineering and utility infrastructure in urban and rural settlements.

During the talks, the sides discussed the possibility of cooperation with SEONGEUN SPECIAL CONCRETE CO., LTD, introducing Korean technologies and standards in Ferghana Region, and establishing local production of specialized reinforced concrete products.

Following the meeting, a memorandum of cooperation was signed. The sides also identified promising areas for implementing joint projects.
