Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with Jin Ok-dong, chairman of Shinhan Financial Group, in Seoul on 15 September. The sides discussed expanding financial cooperation and implementing investment projects in Uzbekistan, the press service of the President of Uzbekistan said.
The meeting reviewed projects in infrastructure development, renewable energy and industry.
Particular attention was paid to the signing of an agreement to provide credit lines to commercial banks in Uzbekistan. The sides also focused on the establishment of a subsidiary Shinhan Bank in the country.
In addition, the sides expressed interest in attracting new financing instruments and developing green lending. They also discussed digital banking and the introduction of specialized financial solutions for small and medium-sized businesses.
