Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with Kim Bok-hwan, chief executive officer of the Korea Overseas Infrastructure & Urban Development Corporation (KIND), as part of the business program of his visit to the Republic of Korea. The sides discussed expanding cooperation in the development of Uzbekistan’s transport and social infrastructure, the press service of the President of Uzbekistan said.
At the meeting, the sides welcomed the establishment of a joint investment platform.
Particular attention was paid to the development of a scientific and industrial biocluster as part of the new project. The sides emphasized the importance of creating an integrated ecosystem bringing together scientific research, industry and modern technologies.
In addition, the sides stressed the need to prepare a master plan for developing the area around the new Tashkent International Airport. The plan should provide for integrating the airport, modern logistics hubs and residential urban infrastructure into a single system.
