Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — An international education program involving Russia’s Synergy Corporation has been launched in Ferghana, providing for the development of dual education and the establishment of a digital professions college at the city’s College No. 1, the Ferghana regional administration said.
Ferghana Region Governor Khayrullo Bozorov held a meeting with Synergy Corporation Vice President Mikhail Yerofeyev and local partners. The parties discussed the implementation of the international education program and plans to establish the digital professions college.
Synergy brings together more than 50 organizations, with Synergy University forming the core of its educational and innovation cluster. As part of the development of the corporation’s educational ecosystem in Uzbekistan, a project is being implemented to establish a digital professions college at Ferghana College No. 1.
At the same time, the region has launched an international education program for the first time, with the educational process already underway.
At the initial stage, up to 600 students are expected to study at the college, while another 120 people will take part in international dual education programs. IT courses will also be able to accommodate up to 1,100 participants.
The training will cover programming, artificial intelligence, graphic design, 3D modeling, robotics, cybersecurity and other modern IT fields.
A key component of the project will be a dual education system combining theoretical training with practical work. Students will be able to study and work at enterprises simultaneously, applying the knowledge and skills they acquire in practice. Qualified specialists from Russia are expected to be involved in the educational process.
The meeting also addressed workforce training in professions and specialties in demand on the regional labor market. The parties discussed adapting educational programs to the needs of Ferghana Region, expanding cooperation with employers and developing modern IT education infrastructure.
The digital professions college is scheduled to begin full-scale operations in December 2026.
