Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan and Türkiye will expand cooperation in the legal sector following a meeting between Uzbek Justice Minister Akbar Tashkulov and a delegation from Türkiye’s Ministry of Justice led by Deputy Minister Burak Ceyhan on 22 September, the Uzbek Justice Ministry said.
The meeting focused on exchanging experience in mediation and alternative dispute resolution (ADR), advocacy, state-funded legal aid and professional training for legal specialists.
The Turkish delegation also noted Uzbekistan’s efforts to develop mediation, digitalize the alternative dispute resolution system and introduce advanced international experience in this area.
The sides agreed to expand interaction between specialists from the two countries. In particular, they plan to establish a regular expert dialogue and organize joint seminars, educational programs and experience-sharing events.
The cooperation is aimed at further developing legal ties between Uzbekistan and Türkiye, improving mediation and alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, and putting advanced practices into practical use.
