Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin on 21 September. The two sides discussed further development of strategic partnership and alliance relations.
At the beginning of the conversation, Mirziyoyev congratulated Putin on the successful conduct of elections to the State Duma and wished the newly elected parliament productive work.
The presidents discussed further deepening Uzbek-Russian relations in the context of implementing agreements reached at the highest level.
Particular attention was paid to the effective holding of the next meetings of the Intergovernmental Commission and the Council of Regions, as well as the Days of Uzbek Culture in Russia.
Mirziyoyev and Putin also discussed the schedule of upcoming bilateral and multilateral events.
