Second drowning victim found at Charvak Reservoir

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Divers from Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Emergency Situations have found the body of a second person who drowned at Charvak Reservoir. The body was discovered today at 12:07. The search for the third victim is continuing, the ministry said.

The incident occurred on 2 September in Bostanlyk district of Tashkent region. While a family was riding on a boat, one of the family members jumped into the water to swim. The man was not wearing a life jacket and began to drown.

His older brother and father rushed to help him. All three subsequently drowned.

Rescuers found the first body on 9 September at 13:02. Divers recovered the body of the family’s younger son.

Today at 12:07, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported finding the body of the second drowned brother. The search for the father’s body is continuing.
