Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan’s U23 football team lost 2-0 to China in a friendly match as part of preparations for the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games.

China scored in the 28th and 83rd minutes.

Uzbekistan’s U23 team is coached by Ravshan Haydarov. At the Asian Games, Uzbekistan will compete in Group C alongside the Philippines, Kuwait and Vietnam.

Uzbekistan will open its group-stage campaign against the Philippines on 15 September. The match will kick off at 3:30 p.m. local time at CS Asset Minato Soccer Stadium in Nagoya.

On 18 September, Uzbekistan will face Kuwait at 7 p.m. The match will also be played at CS Asset Minato Soccer Stadium.

Uzbekistan will play its final group-stage match against Vietnam on 22 September. The game will start at 2 p.m. at Paloma Mizuho Rugby Stadium in Nagoya.

In the other Group C matches, Vietnam will face Kuwait on 15 September, the Philippines will play Vietnam on 18 September, and the Philippines will meet Kuwait on 22 September.

All matches on 15 and 18 September will be held at CS Asset Minato Soccer Stadium, while the Philippines-Kuwait match on 22 September will also take place at the same venue.
