Uzbekistan Competition Committee Reviews Digital Service Platforms
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan’s Competition Development and Consumer Protection Committee has begun reviewing the platforms of organizations providing streaming, internet access and digital television services amid a rise in consumer complaints about telecommunications services.
As of the current period in 2026, the number of consumer complaints concerning telecommunications services has doubled compared with the same period last year, exceeding 1,000 cases.
The review found that some operators and providers do not fully disclose information needed by consumers on their mobile applications and websites. This includes tariffs and prices, terms of service, public offers and other essential conditions.
In some cases, such information is also not provided in the state language.
The Committee is conducting the review based on publicly available sources. Specialists are assessing how fully companies providing streaming, internet access and digital television services present consumer-related information on their platforms and whether the information complies with legal requirements.
In this regard, organizations providing the relevant services have been recommended to ensure that complete information is available on their mobile applications and websites and to bring it into compliance with applicable legislation.
Consumers can submit their suggestions and appeals to the Committee at info@raqobat.gov.uz and consumer@antimon.gov.uz.
The Committee said additional information on the results of the review will be provided later.
