Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- The Uzbek textile industry is considering strengthening bilateral trade relations with the US textile market through the implementation of projects in Afghanistan.
In the building of the Uztekstilprom Association, negotiations were held with the President of the American consulting company Transnational Strategy Group LLC Dana M. Marshal.
During the talks, promising areas for establishing cooperation between the parties in the textile industry were discussed.
The foreign side was shown a presentation on the opportunities and potential promising areas for establishing cooperation in the domestic textile industry today.
Foreign partners proposed to organize the supply of textile products to the United States on a duty-free basis by organizing the production of textiles by domestic companies with the creation of free economic zones in the border areas of Afghanistan with Uzbekistan. It is also proposed to provide a visa-free regime for visiting the territory of the FEZ for entrepreneurs.
Following the meeting, a decision was made to consider the possibilities of a practical approach to the discussed proposals within the framework of the negotiations, the press service of the Uztekstilprom Association reports.
