Automobile and railway bridges to link Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan will be linked with automobile and railway bridges via Amudarya river in 2017, the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stated this at the first-ever United Nations Global Sustainable Transport Conference, which was held in Ashgabat (Turkmenistan).

He said that automobile and railway bridges via Amudarya river will be commissioned to exploitation in the beginning of 2017.

He said that transport highways of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan will be linked with these bridges. The launch of bridges will help to speed up transport flows in both directions.
