Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Zamin Foundation, Ziroat Mirziyoyeva, spent time with children from a multidisciplinary specialized preschool educational institution with the Imkon rehabilitation center in Nukus.
- I am very pleased to see the achievements of children and how hard they work on themselves. The main thing is that there is an individual approach to each child, no one is left on the sidelines, said Ziroat Mirziyoyeva.
The first multidisciplinary specialized preschool educational institution in Uzbekistan with the Imkon rehabilitation center for children with special needs opened in Nukus in April 2019.
The uniqueness of the "Imkon" project lies in its comprehensive approach to combining rehabilitation and educational blocks, which makes it possible to provide holistic, targeted, individually oriented assistance to children with various disabilities.
Since its opening, 241 children with disabilities have been enrolled in the Imkon center. As of 1 May 2021, 119 pupils were enrolled in the multidisciplinary specialized preschool educational institution, who receive education in groups for children with severe hearing impairments, mental retardation and musculoskeletal disorders. According to the results of the correctional and educational process, positive dynamics was observed in the field of socialization and adaptation in 90.4% of children; improvement of motor skills of varying degrees in 97.8% of children; in 92.3% of children with speech impairments.
