Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — On 23 August, a formal ceremony was held at the "Kuksaroy" residence in Tashkent to welcome the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, who arrived on a state visit to Uzbekistan.
The residence grounds, adorned with the flags of both countries, saw an honor guard assembled in honor of the Azerbaijani leader.
Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev warmly greeted Ilham Aliyev and invited him to the podium. The ceremony featured the national anthems of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.
Following this, the leaders of both countries inspected the honor guard and greeted members of the official delegations.
The ceremony concluded with a photo session, followed by a round of private negotiations.
