Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan defeated Iran 3–1 in a friendly football match.
Eldor Shomurodov opened the scoring in the 10th minute after capitalizing on an opponent’s mistake to put Uzbekistan ahead.
Iran equalized in the 49th minute following a free kick.
Shomurodov restored Uzbekistan’s lead in the 58th minute by converting a penalty.
Husayn Norchaev sealed the victory in the fourth minute of stoppage time, scoring in the 90+4th minute to make it 3–1.
Uzbekistan will play its next friendly on 1 October in Tashkent against Syria.
