Uzbekistan Weightlifters Claim 10 Medals at Asian Championships

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan's weightlifters won 10 medals during a single day of competition at the ongoing Asian Youth and Junior Weightlifting Championships held in Tashkent. The national team secured three gold, six silver, and one bronze medal.

In the youth category up to 57 kg, Marjona Abdumutalova captured gold in the snatch event. Competing in the same weight category among juniors, Zarina Abdullakhakova claimed the silver medal in the snatch. Abdumutalova also secured two additional silver medals in the clean and jerk and total events.

In the youth category up to 61 kg, Ziyoda Khudoykulova won the gold medal in the snatch and earned silver medals in both the clean and jerk and total events.

In the junior category up to 61 kg, Munisa Boltayeva claimed gold in the clean and jerk, silver in the total, and bronze in the snatch.
