Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan’s PFC Nasaf drew 0-0 with Bahrain’s Al-Khaldiya in the opening Group A match of the 2026/27 AFC Champions League 2 season. The match was played on Wednesday at Bahrain’s National Stadium.
Neither team managed to open the scoring. Along with Nasaf and Al-Khaldiya, Group A also includes UAE’s Al-Wahda and Kuwait’s Kuwait SC.
The teams created several dangerous chances in the first half. In the 14th minute, Domagoj Drožđek struck from outside the penalty area, but after a deflection, the ball was easily collected by Nasaf goalkeeper Abdouvokhid Nematov.
In the 25th minute, Al-Khaldiya goalkeeper Mohammad Al-Gharabli saved his team after a long-range effort from Oybek Rustamov, diving to parry the ball away from the bottom corner. Soon after, the hosts responded with a counterattack, but Walid Sabbar’s shot posed no threat to the Nasaf goal.
Before the break, Akramjon Komilov delivered a cross from the left flank, and Bobir Abdikholikov headed the ball toward goal. However, the effort was too weak, and Al-Gharabli dealt with it comfortably.
At the start of the second half, Nematov saved Nasaf twice. In the 52nd minute, he stopped Osama Shili’s shot from a tight angle before parrying another effort from Drožđek.
In the 71st minute, Drožđek set up Saif Eddine Boughrara for a shot, but he missed the target. Al-Khaldiya continued to search for a goal, but Nasaf’s defense kept a clean sheet.
In stoppage time, Hazaa Ali also failed to hit the target. The match ended 0-0, with both teams earning one point.
