Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan’s Ferghana-based football club Neftchi and South Korea’s Paju Frontier FC have agreed to establish cooperation between the two clubs.
The agreement was discussed at a meeting held at the National Football Centre in Paju, focusing on developing interaction between the clubs.
Ferghana Region Governor Khayrullo Bozorov attended the meeting. He said football is not only a sport but also a means of bringing people together around a common goal and strengthening friendly ties between nations.
The meeting also highlighted the activities of people from Ferghana Region and other parts of the Ferghana Valley who study and work in South Korea.
They have established a football team called Neftchi Korea, which takes part in local competitions.
The sides view cooperation between Neftchi and Paju Frontier FC as an opportunity to further develop football ties and interaction between representatives of Uzbekistan and South Korea.
