Uzbekistan to introduce vehicle accounting system

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan intends to implement a project to introduce a vehicle accounting system.

The President of Uzbekistan signed a resolution “On organizational measures for accelerated integration of departmental information systems and implementation of innovative projects”.

According to the document, the project will be implemented in the country to create a vehicle accounting system, which envisages replacement of existing numbers with international models and cancellation of paper documents for vehicles.

Drivers will receive identification cards (ID-cards), which will contain all relevant information about the vehicle.

The project will be launched in pilot mode in Tashkent due to extrabudgetary funds until 1 November 2018.
