Switzerland Crushes Bosnia 4-1 to Top World Cup Group B
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Switzerland recorded a convincing 4-1 victory over Bosnia and Herzegovina in their second Group B match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The game was played in Inglewood, California, United States.
The Swiss side took control in the second half. Johan Manzambi scored twice, finding the net in the 74th and 90th minutes. Ruben Vargas added another goal in the 84th minute, while Granit Xhaka converted a penalty in stoppage time in the 90+7th minute.
Bosnia and Herzegovina's only goal came from Emin Mahmic in the 90+3rd minute. The team was reduced to 10 men in the 80th minute after defender Tarik Muharemovic was sent off.
Following the result, Switzerland moved to the top of Group B with four points. Canada, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Qatar each have one point.
In the final round of group-stage matches, Switzerland will face Canada, while Bosnia and Herzegovina will take on Qatar. Both matches are scheduled for 24 June 2026.
