Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s first-ever match at a FIFA World Cup will be officiated by English referee Anthony Taylor.
The national team will begin its 2026 World Cup campaign on 18 June with a Group K match against Colombia. The game will take place in Mexico City at the Mexico City Stadium.
Anthony Taylor has been appointed as the main referee for the match. He will be assisted by his compatriots Gary Beswick and Adam Nunn.
Juan Calderon will serve as the fourth official, while Juan Carlos Mora of Costa Rica has been named reserve assistant referee.
The match is part of Group K and marks a historic moment for Uzbek football, as the national team is participating in the final stage of the FIFA World Cup for the first time.
Kick-off is scheduled for 07:00 Tashkent time on 18 June.
