About Clean Games

Clean Games is an international environmental project founded in 2014. It organises team competitions in waste collection and sorting, using a quest format in natural areas.

Participants collect litter, sort it by type and complete tasks to earn points. Results are recorded on the Clean Games digital platform. Participation is free of charge.

According to the organisers, more than 3,500 games have been held in 840 cities across 40 countries since the project began, involving more than 245,000 people.

Local organisers select venues, form teams and recruit volunteers. They also arrange waste collection and the transfer of recyclable materials for processing. Public organisations, initiative groups and residents can organise games with support from the project team.

Eurasian Clean Games Cup 2026

The Eurasian Clean Games Cup brings together Clean Games competitions held in cities and countries across the region. In autumn 2026, teams from Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan took part.

The games were held at local venues, with results combined into an international ranking on the Clean Games platform.

Scoring included points for collected waste and recyclable materials. When a team participated in several games, its best result was counted.

Organisers also held two additional competitions this season.

The first, “Clean by the Numbers”, focused on participant registration and recording results on the digital platform.

The second assessed the quality of waste sorting and verification that collected recyclable materials had been transferred for recycling.
