Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan has established cooperation with the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD).

Representatives of the Agency for Migration, as well as the Ministries of Foreign and Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan, met with Michael Spindelegger, Director General of ICMPD.

During the discussions, it was emphasized that EU countries will face a significant increase in labor demand in the coming years.

Uzbekistan, in turn, has a large pool of young specialists, with active programs being developed for foreign language training and professional skills enhancement.

Following the meeting, the parties signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.

Under this agreement, ICMPD and the Agency for Migration will work together to advise Uzbek citizens on legal employment in EU countries, organize preparatory courses before departure, and attract potential employers interested in skilled workers from Uzbekistan.
