Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Ismatulla Irgashev, special representative of the Uzbek president for Afghanistan, held a meeting with Pakistan's ambassador to Uzbekistan, Muhammad Mudassir Tipu, on 17 September, Uzbekistan's Foreign Ministry said.

The two sides discussed the further development of bilateral partnership, the ministry said.

The meeting covered current issues in Uzbek-Pakistani cooperation, including the development of political dialogue, trade and economic interaction, and the strengthening of regional connectivity.

Both sides confirmed their mutual interest in maintaining regular contacts and jointly promoting initiatives aimed at strengthening stability, trust and sustainable development in the region, the ministry said.
