Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbek citizens who were injured in a tragic incident in Nizhnekamsk, Republic of Tatarstan, on 10 August have returned home after receiving necessary medical, legal and organisational assistance, Uzbekistan’s Migration Agency said.
The treatment and return of the injured citizens were arranged through cooperation between the Uzbekistan Migration Agency’s representative office in Russia, the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Kazan and Uzbekistan Airways.
After the condition of one of the injured citizens, who had undergone complex surgery, stabilised, a medical evacuation was arranged. Medical specialists accompanied the citizen during the return journey, with the necessary conditions provided for transportation.
The processing and transfer of documents required for the injured citizens to receive compensation payments in accordance with Russian legislation remain under the agency’s supervision.
The Migration Agency urged citizens to seek assistance if they encounter difficult situations while working abroad.
