Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan’s First Lady Ziroat Mirziyoyeva, accompanied by First Lady of the Republic of Korea Kim Hye Kyung, visited the National Palace Museum of Korea during President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s state visit to South Korea.

The museum’s exhibition is dedicated to the centuries-old history and cultural heritage of the Joseon royal dynasty, which held a special place in Korea’s history for more than five centuries.

Ziroat Mirziyoyeva was shown ancient manuscripts and poetic works by representatives of the dynasty, traditional clothing and other items of palace culture. The exhibits reflect the everyday life, traditions and artistic heritage of the period.

After the museum visit, Ziroat Mirziyoyeva and Kim Hye Kyung held a bilateral meeting.

During the conversation, the sides noted the closeness of the peoples of Uzbekistan and Korea, based on longstanding relations of friendship, mutual respect and cultural affinity.
