Uzbekistan, Japan Discuss Further Development of Bilateral Ties

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan Deputy Foreign Minister Mirvokhid Azimov met with Japan’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Uzbekistan Kenji Hirata on 8 September.

The sides reviewed current issues on the Uzbek-Japanese bilateral agenda and prospects for further development of cooperation between the two countries.

Particular attention was paid to implementing agreements reached at the highest level. Following the meeting, the sides agreed to continue close cooperation in this area.

Representatives of Uzbekistan and Japan also discussed preparations for joint events planned for this year.
