Fourteen Doctors From Tashkent Region Travel to South Korea
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Fourteen doctors from the Tashkent region have traveled to the Republic of Korea for advanced training as part of a healthcare partnership with Gyeonggi Province, according to the Tashkent region khokimiyat.
The trip was organized under a memorandum of cooperation signed between the Tashkent region khokimiyat and the governorship of Gyeonggi Province, with South Korean counterparts welcoming the arriving specialists.
The delegation comprises medical professionals specializing in neurosurgery, cardiosurgery, radiology, urology, interventional cardiology, traumatology and orthopedics, oncology, oncohematology, and dentistry.
During the internship, the specialists will study modern diagnostic and treatment methods, examine techniques for complex surgical procedures, and participate in laparoscopic and robot-assisted surgeries.
The cooperation focuses on upgrading healthcare personnel qualifications while implementing acquired knowledge and technology into regional medical practice.
According to the khokimiyat, specialists from the region who completed overseas training over the past two years successfully introduced angiography, spinal neurosurgery, and laparoscopic and thoracoscopic surgeries into local medical facilities.
This latest training program aims to further master advanced medical techniques and technology.
The experience gained by the doctors is slated for practical implementation, including supporting qualified operations at the Multidisciplinary Medical Center in the city of Nurafshon.
