International Hotel Chains Expand Presence Across Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The number of international hotel chains operating in Uzbekistan grew by 27.5 percent during the first seven months of 2026 as global operators expanded beyond the capital city of Tashkent.
Between the end of 2025 and 1 August 2026, the total count of international brand hotels in the country increased from 40 to 51 properties, with the number of represented brands rising from 25 to 31. Total room inventory expanded from 5,191 to 6,664 rooms, representing a 28.4 percent growth, while capacity increased from 9,340 to 12,096 beds. A total of 11 new international properties launched operations during this period.
The market expansion reflects geographic diversification. While international brands previously concentrated in Tashkent, new projects have emerged in Bukhara, Samarkand, Nukus, Termez, Chimgan, and Beldersoy.
Wyndham Hotels and Resorts posted the largest growth, increasing its portfolio from six to 11 hotels. Its additions include Wyndham Garden Chorvoq Darvozasi, Ramada by Wyndham Nukus, Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Tashkent, TRYP by Wyndham Chimyon, and TRYP by Wyndham Tashkent Olympic City. Wyndham's room capacity grew from 857 to 1,450 rooms.
Accor expanded its footprint from three to seven properties, increasing its total room count from 470 to 889 rooms. New openings under the ibis, Mercure, and Movenpick brands included Mercure Tashkent North, Mercure Bukhara Old Town, and Movenpick Tashkent Old City.
Hilton increased its presence from seven to eight hotels, expanding room capacity from 1,109 to 1,274 rooms with additions including DoubleTree by Hilton Tashkent. Hyatt doubled its operating properties from one to two through the launch of Beldersoy Resort and Spa Destination by Hyatt, increasing its room inventory from 300 to 445 rooms. Marriott International maintained two properties but expanded room inventory at the JW Marriott Hotel Tashkent, raising its room count from 280 to 415.
The development extends across luxury, mid-scale, urban business, and mountain resort segments in Chimgan and Beldersoy.
