Uzbekistan takes third in U20 Asian Greco-Roman Wrestling Championship
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The Uzbekistan national Greco-Roman wrestling team secured third place in the overall team standings at the U20 Asian Wrestling Championship, which is taking place in Pattaya, Thailand. By the end of the tournament, Uzbek wrestlers won a total of eight medals — two gold, two silver, and four bronze.
On the latest day of competition, representatives of Uzbekistan added five medals to the team's tally. Ogabek Mukimov became the Asian champion in the under-67 kg weight category, while Dostonbek Oripov won the silver medal in the under-60 kg division.
The bronze medalists from the team were Bekhruzbek Valiev (under-72 kg), Bekmurod Rustamov (under-82 kg), and Fakhrikamol Komilzhonov (under-97 kg).
Following all Greco-Roman wrestling events, the Uzbekistan team concluded the championship with two gold, two silver, and four bronze medals, which guaranteed the team third place in the final overall team standings.
