Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan defeated China 3-1 in a match at the 46th World Chess Olympiad.
Nodirbek Abdusattorov and Nodirbek Yakubboev secured victories for Uzbekistan, while Javokhir Sindarov and Mukhiddin Madaminov drew their games.
Abdusattorov defeated Ding Liren, while Yakubboev earned a point for Uzbekistan by defeating Yu Yangyi.
Sindarov faced Wei Yi, with their game ending in a draw. Madaminov also drew his game against Xu Xiangyu.
As a result, Uzbekistan scored three points out of a possible four against China and won the match 3-1.
After seven rounds, Uzbekistan has 14 points and is in first place.
