Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan has won two bronze medals at the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games. The medals were secured by fencer Polina Volobueva and wushu athlete Saydullo Abdurashidov, the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan reported.
Volobueva competed in the women’s foil event and reached the semifinals, where she secured a bronze medal.
Another medal for Uzbekistan was won by Abdurashidov in wushu. In the sanda competition in the up to 56 kg weight category, the Uzbek athlete reached the semifinals, where he lost to an opponent from China. Abdurashidov subsequently received a bronze medal.
Abdurashidov’s medal became Uzbekistan’s second medal in the wushu competition.
