Uzbekistan suspends its CSTO membership
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
The Government of Uzbekistan adopted decision to suspend its membership in the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), the Russian media reported.
The CSTO Secretariat received a note from Uzbekistan declaring the suspension of its involvement in the seven-nation alliance.
Secretariat currently conducts legal study of the received document and prepares a corresponding report to the CSTO heads of states.
The CSTO also includes Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
