Uzbekistan Studies Moscow’s Experience in Digital Medicine

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A delegation from Uzbekistan has studied Moscow's experience in healthcare system management, digitalization of medical processes, and the implementation of modern technologies during talks with representatives of the Russian capital's government.

During a meeting with the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Social Development, Anastasya Rakova, the Uzbek delegation was presented with unified standards for managing the healthcare system, which include the digitalization of medical processes and the creation of a continuous patient routing system.

The delegation familiarized itself with the operations of City Polyclinic No. 220, which functions according to the new "My Polyclinic" standard. The representatives of Uzbekistan studied approaches to organizing primary healthcare, managing patient flows, digital registration, and conducting preventive measures.

At the S.P. Botkin Moscow Multidisciplinary Scientific and Clinical Center, the delegation was shown the experience of organizing the work of multidisciplinary hospitals, diagnostic and surgical services, as well as the application of modern medical technologies and patient routing systems.

Particular attention was paid to the provision of specialized care for children. At a children's clinical hospital, the delegation familiarized itself with a model that combines diagnostics, treatment, rehabilitation, and subsequent medical observation.

In addition, the representatives of Uzbekistan studied the organization of palliative care, interdisciplinary support for patients, and family support at the "House with a Lighthouse" children's hospice and the Moscow Multidisciplinary Center for Palliative Care.

Specialists from the Research and Practical Clinical Center for Diagnostics and Telemedicine Technologies presented capabilities for using artificial intelligence in medicine and technologies for remote interaction between radiologists.

At the Interdisciplinary Training Center for Innovative Surgical Technologies, the participants were demonstrated a training system for surgeons using simulation equipment and anatomical materials.

The delegation also familiarized itself with the work of the Moscow Center for Laboratory Research, where robotic laboratory diagnostics, a three-level model of laboratory network organization, and digital medical data management systems were presented.

Following the negotiations, the parties agreed to prepare a plan for further cooperation, which will include the implementation of pilot projects involving specialized professionals.
