Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The Uzbekistan national fencing team will participate in the World Fencing Championships, which will be held from 22 to 30 July 2026 in Hong Kong. The national team is currently finalizing its preparations for the tournament at training camps in various cities.
The squad includes athletes who will compete in three weapons: saber, foil, and epee.
In the men's saber competition, Uzbekistan will be represented by Musa Aymuratov, Islambek Abdazov, Sardor Abdukarimbekov, and Alpomish Urokboev. In the women's category, the team includes Zainab Dayibekova, Gulistan Perdibaeva, Fernanda Herrera, Ayakoz Jumamuratova, and Samira Shokirova.
Radmir Semeneev, Ulugbek Usmanov, Ilyas Molina, and Danil Kravtsov will compete in the men's foil tournament. In the women's category, Uzbekistan will be represented by Polina Volobueva.
In the men's epee competition, Meyrkhan Temurov, Javokhir Nurmatov, and Vadim Anokhin will participate. The women's team consists of Dilnaz Murzataeva, Malika Khakimova, and Shakhzoda Egamberdieva.
The World Fencing Championships in Hong Kong will serve as another international event for the representatives of the Uzbekistan national team.
