Uzbekistan Inflation Rises in June Amid Higher Energy Tariffs

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Annual inflation in Uzbekistan reached 6.4 percent in June 2026, increasing compared to the previous month, the Central Bank of Uzbekistan reported.

According to the regulator, non-food inflation reached 5.9 percent, while the indicator in the services sector stood at 7.1 percent. These segments continue to demonstrate an upward trend.

The most notable acceleration of inflation in June was associated with price increases for regulated goods and services. Following price hikes for electricity, network gas, and coal, inflation in this segment reached 12.3 percent.

At the same time, the downward trend in prices for fruit and vegetable products continued. Inflation for fruits and vegetables stood at -0.3 percent at the end of the month.

The core inflation rate, which excludes the impact of certain factors, remained stable at 5.7 percent.

The Central Bank noted that overall inflation, calculated in annual terms with a seasonal adjustment, rose significantly.

Meanwhile, the core inflation rate, excluding seasonal factors, decreased slightly.
