Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — In the Ferghana region, officers of the State Security Service, together with the Department for Combating Economic Crimes and internal affairs bodies, disrupted the activities of a criminal group engaged in the manufacture and sale of counterfeit foreign passports.

According to law enforcement agencies, an operational event established that a Margilan resident born in 1995 entered into a prior conspiracy with four residents of Ferghana born in 1990, 1997, 1999, and 2003. The group members manufactured and sold a counterfeit passport of a citizen of the Republic of Turkey and a fake driver's license to a client for 4 million soums.

During the arrest, 11 mobile phones and two laptops were seized from the suspects and recognized as material evidence in the case.

A criminal case has been initiated regarding this fact. Investigation proceedings are currently underway.
