Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, sent a congratulatory message to the President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, on the occasion of the US national holiday — Independence Day — and the 250th anniversary of this date.
In his address, the leader of Uzbekistan congratulated the US president and the American people, noting that under the leadership of Donald Trump, the United States is consistently strengthening its economic potential and influence, playing an important role in ensuring global development and security, and actively developing practical cooperation with other states.
The President of Uzbekistan emphasized that these processes create a solid foundation for the further expansion of Uzbek-US relations. According to him, bilateral ties based on mutual respect, trust, and shared interests are acquiring new substance.
The congratulatory message notes that increasing mutual trade turnover, implementing joint investment projects, and deepening cooperation in the field of critical mineral resources and innovative collaboration remain priority areas of the partnership.
Particular attention was paid to security issues. Uzbekistan confirmed its interest in further strengthening dialogue and practical interaction in the fight against illegal migration, terrorism, extremism, transnational crime, drug trafficking, and other contemporary threats.
The head of state also expressed confidence that cooperation in regional and global formats, primarily within the framework of the C5+1 platform, the United Nations, and other international institutions, will continue to develop with the active support of the US president.
In conclusion, Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted that he looks forward with great interest to meeting Donald Trump on the sidelines of the G20 summit, which, as indicated in the congratulatory letter, will take place this year in December in Miami.
