President Mirziyoyev reviews Sergeli district digital solutions
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, visited the khokimiyat (administration) of Tashkent's Sergeli district to review digital solutions implemented to deliver public services to the population and improve management efficiency.
The head of state was presented with the work of district agencies organized on a "single window" principle. In addition to the khokimiyat, five other organizations are located in the building, providing more than 30 types of public services to residents and business entities.
The president was also shown a device for submitting online appeals to the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Using this device, citizens can contact a duty officer via video link, automatically register their appeal, and evaluate the quality of work and communication culture of the employee after its review. Shavkat Mirziyoyev instructed to expand the practice of installing such smart devices in crowded places, markets, and other public facilities.
During the visit, the head of state reviewed the activities of the situational center established within the khokimiyat. The center operates the "Smart District" digital platform, which utilizes artificial intelligence technologies to analyze data, identify emerging problems, and facilitate their rapid resolution.
Seventeen information systems are integrated into the situational center. It provides monitoring of social and utility issues, tracks the execution of citizen appeals, and coordinates the work of relevant services during emergency situations.
As part of the project, a videoconferencing system has been organized connecting 46 mahallas of the district, and 25 general education schools are also being connected to it in stages.
The platform also includes the "Safe District" system, designed to monitor offenses and ensure public safety; a digital map of business entities used to forecast tax revenues and improve the efficiency of their administration using AI-based analytics; and the "AI Davomat" system, which detects instances of unexcused school absences to prevent neglect among minors.
Following his review of the situational center's work, the president ordered the implementation of a similar system across all districts of the capital. Reports from responsible officials were also heard at the site regarding the digitalization of the education system, construction, reducing the shadow economy, increasing tax collection, and ensuring public safety in Tashkent.
