Uzbekistan receives over 4 million tourists in 4 months
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan received 4,048,417 foreign visitors for tourism purposes in January-April 2026, according to the National Statistics Committee.
Compared with the same period last year, the figure increased by 930,800 people, or 29.9%. The agency noted continued growth in tourist arrivals to the country.
The largest number of visitors came from neighboring countries. The Kyrgyz Republic ranked first with 1,141,581 tourists, followed by Tajikistan with 965,488 visitors and Kazakhstan with 935,003 citizens.
Russia was among the five largest tourism source markets with 341,842 visitors, followed by Afghanistan with 161,537 tourists. Other countries included China with 132,240 visitors, Turkmenistan with 108,433, Türkiye with 57,686, India with 16,057, and the Republic of Korea with 12,145 tourists.
