Uzbekistan Population Nears 38.4 Million People

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The permanent population of Uzbekistan stood at 38,382,685 as of 1 April 2026, according to data released by the National Committee on Statistics of Uzbekistan.

The figure represents a 1.8% increase compared to the same period in 2025, indicating continued demographic growth in the country.

Official statistics show that women account for 19.1 million people, while men number 19.3 million, reflecting a slight predominance of the male population.

In terms of settlement structure, 19.6 million people live in urban areas, while 18.8 million reside in rural regions.
