Uzbekistan and CefoBio Discuss Projects in Regenerative Medicine
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan and South Korean company CefoBio have discussed expanding cooperation in cell therapy, regenerative medicine, and advanced biotechnology, according to the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry.
The meeting took place during a working visit to South Korea by the agency's director, Abdulla Azizov, who held talks with CefoBio CEO Park Hyun-seok.
The parties reached preliminary agreements on implementing joint research and development projects in collaboration with the Pharmaceutical Technical University (PTU). One key focus will be the development of bone tissue regeneration technologies.
In addition, participants agreed to jointly explore opportunities for localizing relevant technologies in Uzbekistan.
The sides also discussed introducing CefoBio's advanced biotechnological developments into Uzbekistan, pooling research and development capabilities, and advancing next-generation medical technologies.
CefoBio specializes in manufacturing therapeutic products for bone tissue regeneration. The company operates a GMP-certified center featuring three independent production units, alongside specialized laboratories for virology, mycoplasma testing, sterility, and physicochemical analysis.
