Uzbekistan, Pakistan Expand Cooperation in Tourism Sector
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s Tourism Committee has organized a visit by a delegation of Pakistani tourism industry representatives to the country, taking place from 8 to 13 May, with the aim of expanding cooperation between tour operators of the two states and increasing tourist flows from Pakistan.
The first event of the program was a business meeting in B2B format held on 8 May at the Wyndham Garden Tashkent hotel. The talks brought together 24 major Pakistani tour operators and around 50 representatives of tourism companies from Uzbekistan.
The sides discussed the current state of bilateral tourism relations and prospects for further cooperation in the tourism sector. Particular attention was given to the promotion of joint tourism products and the expansion of partnership contacts.
Following the negotiations, Uzbek and Pakistani tour operators reached agreements to develop new tourism packages and sign cooperation agreements.
During the visit, the Pakistani delegation will continue to explore Uzbekistan’s tourism potential. The program includes visits to several key tourist cities across the country and additional meetings with representatives of the local tourism industry.
