Uzbekistan, Oman Strengthen Interparliamentary Dialogue
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — An online meeting of members of the interparliamentary cooperation groups of Uzbekistan and Oman was held, focusing on strengthening bilateral dialogue between the two countries.
The sides discussed prospects for expanding cooperation in trade, economic, investment, transport, tourism, and cultural-humanitarian areas.
It was noted that relations between Uzbekistan and Oman have been steadily developing in recent years on the basis of mutual trust and respect, creating a solid foundation for new joint initiatives.
Particular attention during the talks was paid to the institutional development of interparliamentary cooperation.
The participants discussed strengthening the work of relevant groups and establishing direct contacts between parliamentary committees of the two countries.
The importance of effective parliamentary oversight in implementing agreements reached at the highest level was also emphasized.
Following the meeting, both sides confirmed their intention to continue developing interparliamentary cooperation and to expand practical interaction across all key areas.
