Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A motorcyclist in Tashkent who ignored a lawful police order to stop and continued driving at high speed has been sentenced to 15 days of administrative arrest, Tashkent_Land reported.

The incident occurred on a road near the Yangi Uzbekistan park. The motorcyclist published a video recording of the violation on social media, which showed him continuing to drive despite demands to stop from officers of the Traffic Safety Management Department (UBDD).

UBDD officers identified the driver and filed official documents regarding the incident.

Following a court review of the case, the offender was sentenced to 15 days of administrative arrest.

In addition, authorities discovered that the man holds only a Category B driver's license. Operating a motorcycle requires a Category A license.

After serving the administrative arrest, additional measures may be taken against the driver due to the lack of the required driver's license category.

The UBDD reminded the public that video surveillance is active on the roads and attempting to flee or avoid responsibility does not exempt violators from punishment.
