Uzbek President Arrives in Kyrgyzstan on State Visit

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, accompanied by his wife, arrived in Kyrgyzstan on a state visit.

At Issyk-Kul International Airport in the city of Cholpon-Ata, the Uzbek head of state and first lady were met by President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov and his wife. State flags of both countries were raised and an honor guard was lined up in honor of the distinguished guests.

During the visit, the leaders of the two states will hold talks on further deepening the Uzbek-Kyrgyz strategic partnership and raising bilateral cooperation to a new level.

The visit program also includes the participation of the President of Uzbekistan in an informal Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and Azerbaijan.
