Uzcard Nearly Doubles Net Profit in First Half of 2026
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The Unified Republican Processing Center, which operates the Uzcard payment system, generated 1.1 trillion soums in net profit in the first half of 2026.
According to the company's financial statements prepared under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and published on the Sole Corporate Information Portal, this figure almost doubles the result recorded for the same period last year.
In the first six months of the current year, the company earned nearly 85% of the total net profit achieved in all of 2025.
By comparison, the company's net profit stood at 1.3 trillion soums for full-year 2025, 955.7 billion soums in 2024, and 586.8 billion soums in 2023.
Profit growth was accompanied by higher revenue. Revenue from contracts with customers rose 39.1% to reach 1.3 trillion soums, while operating profit grew 41.3% to 899.1 billion soums.
As of the end of June, the company's total assets reached 1.2 trillion soums, while equity grew 27.4% to 1 trillion soums. Retained earnings from previous years remained the primary driver of equity growth, totaling 947.2 billion soums.
In May 2026, company shareholders decided to allocate 665 billion soums for dividend payments, or 13,300 soums per share. Of this amount, 250 billion soums will be paid from part of the net profit earned in the first quarter of 2026, while another 415 billion soums will come from retained earnings of previous years.
In October 2022, changes occurred in the ownership structure of the company. Four co-owners — Obid Agzamkhodjayev, Kamron Akbarov, Timur Azadov, and Mansur Usmanov — exercised their pre-emptive right to buy out the 75% state stake, each acquiring an additional 18.75% of shares.
The total transaction value was 210.1 billion soums, valuing the entire company at approximately 280 billion soums at that time.
