Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A Chinese Language and Culture Centre has opened at Jizzakh State Pedagogical University, established jointly with Beijing Language and Culture University and Beijing Financial Street Education Investment Co., Ltd., the university reported.
The opening ceremony was attended by Jizzakh Region Deputy Hokim Zafar Azimov, a Chinese delegation led by Wang Yuxi, General Director of Beijing Financial Street Education Investment Co., Ltd., and the university’s leadership.
From the current academic year, 50 students have enrolled in the university’s Chinese language programme. Four specialists from China are conducting classes for them.
The ceremony included a demonstration Chinese language lesson. Participants were also introduced to the main areas of activity of the new centre.
The opening of the centre has created a platform for students at Jizzakh State Pedagogical University to study Chinese and learn about Chinese culture.
