Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A court in Tashkent's Yashnabad District sentenced a 22-year-old man to 15 days of administrative detention and imposed a fine of five basic calculation units for committing several administrative offences, including sexually inappropriate conduct toward an elderly woman.

According to the case materials, the incident occurred at about 05:30 on 4 August 2026 near Dustlik Park. The court said the man, who was intoxicated and drinking alcohol in a public place, committed sexually inappropriate acts toward the elderly woman.

After the incident, he attempted to flee but was detained by members of the public and handed over to law enforcement officers. According to the court ruling, he also refused to comply with lawful orders issued by police officers.

During the hearing, the defendant fully admitted his guilt, expressed remorse, said he understood the consequences of his actions and asked the court to impose a more lenient penalty.

After reviewing the case materials, including statements by the parties, the administrative report, official records and other evidence, the court found the man's guilt fully established.

His actions were classified under Article 183 (petty hooliganism), Part 2 of Article 187 (repeated consumption of alcoholic beverages in a public place within one year after the imposition of an administrative penalty), and Part 1 of Article 194 (failure to comply with the lawful demands of a law enforcement officer) of Uzbekistan's Code of Administrative Liability.

The court sentenced the offender to 15 days of administrative detention and imposed a fine of five basic calculation units.
