Uzbekistan, Latvia discuss cooperation in combating crime

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Tashkent hosted a session of the Joint Uzbek-Latvian commission on cooperation in fighting organized crime, terrorism, illegal turnover of drug, psychotropic substances and precursors.

Representatives of interior and foreign affairs bodies, healthcare, customs and other spheres of Uzbekistan and Latvia attended the event.

The participants discussed issues of cooperation in combating organized crime, terrorism, illegal turnover of drug, psychotropic substances and precursors, human trafficking, etc.

Within the visit to Uzbekistan, the delegation of Latvia held meetings at the Prosecutor-General’s Office of Uzbekistan, State Customs Committee of Uzbekistan, National Information-Analytical Center on control over drugs under the Cabinet of Ministers.
